The noduled seastar (fromia nodosa) is a tropical seastar species found on tropical coral reefs throughout the Indo-West Pacific. Fromia nodosa is a small sea star that has 5 flattened arms and is red to brown in colour with large cream-colored plates. It grows to a maximum diameter of approximately 10 cm.
The papuan toby is a species of pufferfish from the Indo-West Pacific. It grows to 10 centimeters in length, and occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade.
The hawksbill sea turtle (eretmochelys imbricata) is a critically endangered sea turtle. It is easily distinguished from other sea turtles by its sharp, curving beak, and the saw-like appearance of its carapace. This one was resting on the coral bed when I approached.
